Occupying an area of 5 square kilometers Xian Xianyang International Airport (IATA: XIY, 西安咸阳国际机场) is the largest air traffic hub in northwest China and one of China’s ten greatest airports. In 2015, Xianyang International Airport had handled about 33 million passengers, making it one of the busiest airports in China. Transfer to/off Xian Xianyang International Airport
Xian Xianyang International Airport is located in the northeast of Xianyang City, which gives the airport its name. It is about 41km from Xian’s downtown area and 12km from Xianyang’s downtown area. There are frequent shuttle buses commuting between Xian City and Xian Xianyang International Airport. Taking a shuttle bus, you can get to Xianyang International Airport from some big hotels ( Konggang Hotel, Zhicheng Libo Hotel, Longhai Hotel, Xian Hotel, Grand Metropark Resort, Jiyuan International Hotel Hilton Garden Inn etc.), Xian Railway Station and several bus stations. It takes about 70 minutes to get to the airport from the city.
